Student Spotlight

April 2024

  • Cai-Anthony McLean

This semester's Student Spotlight shines on BVS sophomore Cai-Anthony McLean. Just prior to the school year starting, Cai was invited to try out for Jamaica's National Soccer Team (U15). Not only did he make the cut to qualify for the national roster, he was remarkably named team captain. The team qualified to compete in the Concacaf U15 Championship Tournament against El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, and 11 other teams in the Dominican Republic. Jamaica took fourth place in the tournament, overall. It brought Cai great pride to represent his parents' home country in a prestigious international soccer tournament.

Cai is currently in his fourth year with the world renowned Inter Miami CF Academy in Ft. Lauderdale. In addition to his extraordinary athletic talent, Cai maintains a 4.8 GPA, has earned six college credits, and two Advanced Placement credits. Bravo, Cai-Anthony!  You represent the very best of a BVS Trailblazer!
