• Erika Pelaez (8th grade)

  This quarter's Student Spotlight shines on BVS student Erika Pelaez. Erika is a competitive swimmer who recently won two state titles​​​​​​​ in the Class1A Region 4 High School State Championship. Erika competed against high school students and took first place in two events. Most recently, she became the youngest qualifier for the 2020 United States Olympic Trials. Awesome! In addition to being an extraordinarily talented athlete, Erika maintains straight A grades at BVS. Impressive!  We could see Erika competing in Tokyo this summer representing Team USA at the Summer Olympics!
